Day Trip to Tuzigoot National Monument

Memorial weekend we ventured two hours north to see some ancient Indian ruins near Clarksdale. Our self guided tour lasted about 20 minutes with the boys. The highlight for the boys was our picnic in the park and stop at a splash pad on the way home near Anthem Arizona.

Arizona 3 News Crew

We happened to be at the Phoenix zoo when a local TV crew was filming. They asked Jacob what he liked to do in the summer and he said swim. Then they gathered a group to wave and say, "Good Morning Arizona!" We didn't see many animals because it was too hot. The boys enjoyed the splash pad though.

Kindergarten End of Year Performance

Jacob loved school this year. He would wake up on his own, get dressed and eat breakfast each morning. He was the time keeper, letting Dan know every morning that it was 7:20a and time to go. He loved playing on the playground before school started at 7:40a. At his end of year program the kids sang, danced, read a short play and each stood and told their favorite part of kindergarten. Jacob said, "he loved PE because it was fun."
