Halloween night the boys rummaged through the costume bin and pulled out the Shark and Captain America costumes. This year we took our wagon for the boys to ride in because last year Dan and I had to carry Jonah for most of the night. We met up with our neighbors and the boys had fun running from house to house. At first Dan and I hesitated on letting Jacob run because he'd just had surgery but he started sobbing when we told him he had to walk. We decided to let him have fun and hoped he wouldn't trip. Well, he tripped, landed on his arm and cracked his head into the pavement. Not fun. He had a huge goose-egg on his forehead. We didn't stay out too much longer. Overall, it was fun minus the fall of Jacob.

The day after Jacob's wrist surgery we went to our ward Trunk or Treat. We weren't going to go but Jacob really wanted to go. He had been looking forward to wearing his banana costume that he picked out. We forgot his pain meds and shortly after setting up our trunk and getting dinner Jacob was sobbing in pain but didn't want to leave the party. He and Dan ran home and got some meds and then returned. The next week we wore these same costumes to Dan's Halloween work party and the boys each won $25 Visa gift cards for their costumes!

The Saturday before Halloween we headed to Gilbert, AZ to visit Vertuccio Farm with some friends. There was plenty of fun activities to keep the boys busy. We also picked up two homemade pies from a vendor there. Good times were had by all.
